Hello,

We are very proud to announce that we reached a milestone today with more than 500 downloads in the free version of our GPS Tracker (Austral Xexun GPS Car Tracker) in less than a month.

Reaching this mark was pretty hard and we would like to share it with you, guys. Getting positive reviews is what makes we pursue higher goals.

We would like to announce, at firsthand, that now we count with a support on Internet in English, Spanish and Portuguese. So if you have any doubts, suggestions or feedbacks just ask us in your native language that we will help you out ASAP.

Another tip related to the Locations screen.

Clicking on one of the locations in the Locations tab will open up another screen with a detailed map position. Now let’s explain what each item in this screen means!

Image

At the top, you can find the time that the message was received and also the speed at which the vehicle was at that time. On the left of this text you can see a yellow or grey icon that indicates if the GPS signal was weak or strong (as previous post).

Above the map, there are three buttons:
– The arrows buttons are used to navigate between the next and previous item.
– Search Location, click on it and the address that was shown in latitude and longitude coordinates will be shown in human form (street, city, etc.).

Image

On the map you can see three icons:
– Blue arrow indicates the position of the vehicle and the direction of it.
– Green flag indicates the previous position of the vehicle.
– Checkered flag, indicates the next position of the vehicle.

Furthermore it is also possible to zoom the map to check it better.

Below the map, there is a detailed message with the address received.

Bye,
Austral Team

This tip comes from the Locations tab.

Image

Have you noticed that some locations has a yellow icon on the left and others have a grey one? Do you know what it means?

When we receive a message from the tracker device there is a signal tag. If the value is “F” it means the device could locate your position on GPS (Full GPS Signal, otherwise it means weak GPS signal).

In our app we show it using these signs:
– Yellow, it means the GPS could locate your position on GPS (Signal=F).
– Grey, it means your GPS is in a blind location or have weak signal, like a underground garage, for example. So the GPS sends the last location they found, not the current one.

Let’s get it started! April 24, 2012

To get started, the process is simple:

Select the brand and model of your GPS tracker on the home screen and fill the phone number of the GSM Chip and password that are on the tracker. If the tracker is not configured yet, enter the password that you want to be set.

Image

Now you’re on the screen with your location and the vehicle’s one (Dashboard, first tab). Please go to the Settings tab (fourth one) to perform the initial configuration.

Image

If you are already receiving SMS from the tracker just go to the “Begin” menu and then wait until you receive the confirmation messages on the Events screen (third tab).

If you are not receiving SMS on this phone from the tracker you must access the “Setup for the first time” menu, this way the application will automatically perform the necessary steps (allow number, begin, etc.). The confirmation messages are also shown in the Events tab.

Then, after that, go to “Mode” menu and select the Tracker mode to start receiving messages with the locations of your vehicle. In the second tab (Locations) you will have all the locations of your vehicle and in the Dashboard shows the last location received from the vehicle and the location of the cellphone.

Bye,

Hello,

This is the first post of our blog and would like to use the blog as a means of communication and information to users of our applications.

Our company began in late 2011 and we already have two lines of the applications released on Google Play.
– Visit Santa Catarina, a guide on one of the most developed tourist states of Brazil, which already has nearly a thousand downloads.
– Austral Car GPS Tracker, an application that aims to integrate tracking for vehicles to Android phones, with more than 200 downloads in less than 15 days in its trial version.

In the next posts we will give you tips of our applications and show how to use our application.

Feel free to ask any doubts you have and give us suggestions.

See you later,
Austral Team
